Furlong Flooring Ltd was established in 1980. Over the years we have expanded in the Irish market through indigenous growth and also by the acquisition of O’Dea & Co. Limited.
In the early 1990s we moved into the UK and now have distribution companies based in London, Preston and Wales, this gives total coverage of the UK market.
In 1994 we moved to a 150,000 square foot purpose-built warehouse located beside the M50 motorway in Dublin. This gives us easy access for distribution to the Irish market.
In 1995 we acquired our own spinning and tufting companies based in Northern Ireland (Regency Manufacturing Ltd.), which makes us the only carpet manufacturing / distributor in Ireland or the UK.
In 1998 due to changes in flooring fashions, we entered the wood and laminate flooring business, along with strategic partnerships and our bulk buying policy, we are already one of the largest importers and distributors in the UK and Ireland.
The Furlong Group is now among the largest floor covering distributors in the UK and Ireland with annual turnover in excess of €100 million.
